About Me

    Bobby Alessio Jr. is a ten year old gymnast from Belleville, NJ. Bobby has been doing gymnastics since age 4 and has been competing as a registered USAG gymnast since age 6. He trains at Eastern National Academy in Paramus, NJ, which is owned by Craig Zappa and he is coached by Will Sanders.

       Bobby is a current member of the U.S.A. Junior National Developmental Team which he achieved by finishing in the top five at the 2015 USAG National Future Stars Testing conducted at the National Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The USAG Future Stars Program is held throughout the country in the eight gymnastic regions. Each region has their own testing in October and the qualifying athletes of each region are then able to meet at Future Stars Nationals in November. Bobby has won the USAG Region 7 Future Stars Testing competition for three straight years. Also, Bobby is a two-time New Jersey State Champion (2012 Level 4 & 2014 Level 6) and finished second two times (2013 Level 5 & 2015 Level 7). Additional recent accomplishments were a first place finish at the 2015 John Pancott Invitational (Level 7 nine & ten year old division) in PA and second place finish at the 2015 Whitlow Invitational (nine & ten year old division) held at the ESPN / Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL.

        Bobby trains five times a week totaling approximately 20 hours. He is an excellent student at Belleville Elementary School #7, where he has achieved straight A's. Besides his passion for gymnastics he enjoys playing soccer and video games. His favorite soccer player is Cristiano Ronaldo. His favorite gymnasts are Jonathon Horton and Sam Mikulak.
